I went to the statehouse yesterday to attend a press conference at which two senators introduced a bill calling for a moratorium on industrial
wind towers, and I spoke in support of the bill. It seems that people
from all over the state think we need more study before we make wind
towers the predominant feature of our beautiful ridge lines. Ironically, the news coverage of the press conference showed a spokesman from First Wind saying that a moratorium is "stupid", as though we were a bunch of backwoods hicks who were out of touch with reality. Rather arrogant and rude, I thought.
